Data Protection

The protection of your privacy during the processing of personal data and the secure storage of all business data is very important to us, and has been built into our business processes. We treat personal data collected during your visit to our webpages as confidential and always process it in accordance with the legal regulations. The following data privacy information is intended to explain in more detail how we handle data.
Data privacy and information security form an integral part of our corporate policy.

1. Anonymous and Non-anonymous Access Data

1.1 To improve our website experience, we collect and store certain items of access data anonymously so that the data cannot be linked to a specific person. As soon as a user requests a file from a webpage, access data is collected and stored by default.

1.2 The data record usually consists of:
  - The page from which the file was requested
  - The name of the file
  - The date and time of the request
  - The duration of the visit
  - The volume of data transferred
  - The access status (i.e., whether the file was transferred or could perhaps not be found, etc.)
  - The IP address of the computer making the request
  - A description of the type and version of the web browser used
  - The installed operating system and the resolution setting

1.3 The data records that are collected are analyzed purely for internal statistical purposes and to enable the technical administration of our webpages. This data is never forwarded to third parties. This anonymized data is stored separately from personal data. Under no circumstances will it ever be linked to the user's personal data. This eliminates the possibility of it being traced back to a specific person.

2. Collection, Storage, and Use of Personal Data

2.1 Personal data will only be collected and stored in the course of using our website if the user supplies it via e-mail or via the contact form on our website. Once the usage purpose has expired, the data will be deleted. All personal data will be used solely for providing the desired service, unless otherwise agreed separately with the user.

2.2 In addition, we automatically collect personal data within the scope of the purpose associated with any inquiries made and process it in an automated file. Within this context, the data may also be transferred to a service computer center to enable further processing of the order data and to our affiliates. In cases where we forward data to external service providers (order data processing), these providers are bound by the legal data protection regulations and this privacy policy in exactly the same way that we are. We check for compliance with the regulations.

2.3 We, or a service company acting on our behalf, will use your personal data for the technical administration of the webpages, for customer management, and for your inquiries only to the extent that is necessary in each case or in accordance with the processing purposes stated in the relevant areas of our webpages. Our employees and those of service companies acting on our behalf are required to observe confidentiality and to comply with the provisions of the German Data Protection Act and the EU General Data Protection Regulation.
Furthermore, all technical and organizational measures required to meet data protection requirements are firmly in place.

We use the data submitted to us for the purpose of fulfilling orders. Within this context, we make your delivery data (name, delivery address, and – in exceptional cases – your phone number to allow for queries) available to the logistics partners (these service providers vary according to customer specifications).

2.4 Unless otherwise agreed separately with the user, the collected data will not be used for the purposes of advertising, or market and opinion research. As regards receipt of the newsletter, your attention is drawn to the details provided below in Section 3.

2.5 Where data has been requested for the purpose of exercising legal powers (e.g., for the purpose of criminal prosecution), we will provide the competent authorities with information about the user's data in individual cases.

3 Newsletter

3.1 For subscriptions to our newsletter, we use what is known as the "double opt-in method". This means that after you have specified your e-mail address we will send a confirmation e-mail to this address asking you to confirm that you want to have the newsletter sent to you. Unless you confirm this within 24 hours, your subscription will be automatically canceled. If you do confirm that you wish to receive the newsletter, we will continue to store your e-mail address until you unsubscribe from the newsletter. The address is stored solely for the purpose of allowing us to send you the newsletter. Furthermore, when you subscribe and confirm, we store each of your IP addresses and the respective times to prevent the misuse of your personal data.

3.1 The only detail that is mandatory for subscription to the newsletter is the e-mail address. Other details, which are highlighted separately, are provided on a voluntary basis and used solely for the purpose of personalizing the newsletter. This data will also be fully deleted if the subscription is canceled.

3.2 You may cancel your subscription to the newsletter at any time. You can unsubscribe by clicking the link provided in each newsletter e-mail, by sending an e-mail to GROB4Care.support@grob.de, or by sending a message to the contact address provided in the "Legal details" area of the website or in Section 4. The data you provide will not be forwarded to any other third parties.

Your statement of consent is worded as follows:

"[Checkbox] Yes, I wish to receive the newsletter containing the latest information about products and services."

3.4 Your attention is drawn to the fact that we analyze your user behavior when sending the newsletter. To enable this analysis, the e-mails we send contain web beacons, which are also referred to as "tracking pixels". These are single-pixel image files that are linked to our website, thereby enabling us to analyze your user behavior. This is achieved by collecting the data referred to in Section 1.2 and by means of web beacons that are assigned to your e-mail address and linked to a distinct ID. The data is only collected on a pseudonymized basis, which means that the IDs are not linked to your other personal data, thereby preventing it from being directly attributed to a specific person.

4 Right to Information About and the Correction, Blocking, Deletion, and Retraction of Personal Data

4.1. The user is entitled to demand, free of charge, information about any data that may be stored for him or her. He or she may also have the right to have the stored data corrected, blocked, or deleted. If the data cannot be deleted due to legal or contractual retention obligations, it will be blocked instead.

4.1 At the request of the user, we will provide him/her with comprehensive information concerning the data that is being stored about him/her or about his/her company free of charge; will correct, block, or delete data; and will be happy to answer questions about how we collect, store, and use data.

4.2 The entity responsible for data protection is GROB-WERKE GmbH & Co. KG. We are at the service of any user of our website who wants information about the data stored or who has further questions relating to data privacy. For this purpose, users may contact the following person, who is responsible for data protection matters:

GROB-WERKE GmbH & Co. KG

Data protection officer

Industriestraße 4
87719 Mindelheim
Phone: +49 8261 996 – 0
E-mail: datenschutz@grob.de
Internet: www.grobgroup.com

4.3 You may retract your consent to the future collection, processing, and use of your personal data without having to specify your reasons.
Your personal data will be deleted if you cancel this contract, retract your consent to the storage of personal data, if the knowledge of the personal data is no longer required to fulfill the purpose of storing it, or if the storage of such data is prohibited on other legal grounds. This does not affect data that is required for invoicing and accounting purposes or that must be retained due to a legal obligation.

5 Data Security

5.1 Personal data will usually be sent via a secure SSL connection and transferred via the Internet using the SSL encryption method. SSL encryption protects personal data so that it cannot be accessed by third parties. SSL (Secure Socket Layer) is a protocol for encrypting messages on the Internet that offers a particularly high level of data transmission security.

5.2 In addition, our website and our other systems are secured by means of technical and organizational measures to prevent user data from being lost, destroyed, accessed, modified, or distributed by unauthorized persons. In spite of routine checks, it is – however – not possible to provide comprehensive protection against all risks.

6 Cookies

6.1 Our website uses cookies to make this website easier to use and more user-friendly. Cookies are small text files that are placed on the user's computer by the internet browser. If the browser requests the relevant page again at a later point, the cookies enable the computer to be recognized. Consequently, data that has already been entered once is automatically available when, for example, the user comes to complete an inquiry form again.

6.2 Often, the cookies used are deleted automatically from the user's hard drive when the internet browser is quit (these are known as "session cookies"). Other cookies may remain on the user's computer, which results in the computer being recognized at the time of the user's next visit (these are known as "persistent cookies"). The user can change the settings for storing cookies at any time in the browser settings for his/her computer. To do this, the "Do not allow cookies" function must be activated. However, one potential consequence of this is that it may no longer be possible to use the website to the full extent.

7 Google Analytics

7.1 This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google, Inc. ("Google"). Google Analytics uses "cookies", which are text files placed on the user's computer, to help analyze how the user uses the website.

7.2 The information generated by the cookie about the use of this website will usually be transmitted to and stored by Google on a server in the United States. If IP anonymization is activated on this website, Google will – however – truncate the user's IP address within member states of the European Union or in other countries that are signatories of the Treaty on the European Economic Area before transmitting it. Only in exceptional cases will Google transmit the full IP address to a server in the United States and truncate it there. Your attention is drawn to the fact that this website uses Google Analytics with the extension "_anonymizeIp()" and that the IP addresses are, therefore, only processed in truncated form to prevent them from being associated with any specific person.

7.3 Google will use this information on behalf of the operator of this website for the purpose of analyzing use of the website, compiling reports on website activity, and providing the website operator with other services relating to website and internet usage. The IP address that is sent by the user's browser as part of Google Analytics will not be associated with any other data held by Google. The user can prevent the storage of cookies by selecting the appropriate setting in his/her browser software. However, please note that in this case it may not be possible to use the full functionality of this website.

7.4 The user can also prevent the data generated by the cookie and relating to his/her use of the website (incl. his/her IP address) from being captured for and processed by Google by downloading and installing the browser plugin that is available via the following link: http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de.

Detailed information concerning the terms of service and data privacy policy can be found at http://www.google.com/analytics/terms/de.html and https://www.google.de/intl/de/policies/.

If the visitor clicks on a Facebook plugin, the relevant information will be sent to Facebook in the United States and stored there. If the visitor happens to be logged into his/her personal Facebook account at the time, the forwarded data can be matched up with the specific account. Facebook uses cookies for this – in the case of registered and non-registered users alike.
